LaSalle Bank in Warrenville was robbed Thursday morning by a lone gunman who drove away and then abandoned his car, authorities said.
"No one was injured. No shots were fired," said FBI spokeswoman Cynthia Yates. "He's not in custody right now."
The crime occurred about 11:30 a.m. when a man wearing a ski mask walked into the lobby brandishing a handgun and announcing the robbery, Yates said. He was described as being 5 foot 6 or 5 foot 7 and dressed from head to toe in black and dark blue.
After taking an undisclosed sum, the man got into a car and drove off from the bank at the northwest corner of Route 59 and Ferry Road, near the Naperville border.
(thats 2 blocks from where I work!!!))
The car was found about a mile away. Yates declined to release the exact location or make and model.
(( I saw it - 1999 or 2000 WHite grand caravan ))
Because the man was clad in all dark clothing, investigators were "not even sure what his race or ethnicity is," Yates added.
Warrenville Police Chief Bob LaDeur referred all questions to the FBI.
As of mid-afternoon, bank patrons were still being turned away. The building had a note on the front door, saying it was "temporarily closed" because of an "emergency situation."
Bank officials declined to comment, and the branch's telephone message said the bank couldn't be contacted "due to unforeseen circumstances."
Business owners in the 4M Plaza and Office Center, where the one-story bank is located, said at least 10 police cars responded, including units from Winfield and West Chicago.
The 5,200-square-foot branch opened in October 2004, according to the company's Web site.

Last night I went to dinner with a friend and I used my evil jedi mind powers to score free beer. The Micro brewery also sell growlers of beer , thats about 1/2 gallon. After dinner I told the waiter that I brought a growler from a different brew pub and refused to pay for another glass bottle from this place. He scurried off to the manager and asked if I could fill their competitors bottle there. Very quickly he came back and said no , but they will buy me a filled growler if I did not bring that bottle in. Mmm mmm free dunkle weizen (dark weiss, delicious). "These are not the droids you seek...." The evil part is that I never brought the other growler .... ((evil laugh)) ha ha ha ha ....

Role to fill
Well I had to live up to my role as big brother today. My sisters ex , her sons father.(I will not say baby daddy) Went to jail last thursday. He was tagged for a DUI, how ever it was not his first. The goon had not taken care of his licence or insurance from the last time. And and and he had a fuckin warrent for arrest from the next country over. In the course of the last few days my sisier had found out that he has a cocaine problem. he has been going to work on and off the last three month and also had not paid his rent and was being evicted this month. He had kept all of this hidden from he. (They do not live together). Now I'll call him Fred. Freds brother was pissed as well and we all hope that he does a lil time to try to straighten his ass out also we hope that he does seek drug threapy too.We think he may do 6 mos to 1 yr . Kinda doubt it but I think 6 is probally right. He is a super nice guy and I actually do like him. Now back to the story. I went to Freds apt today to help my sisiet pack his things away and to toss what we thing was not worth taking. We packed up a truck and met his brother at a self storage place. Freds brother signed up for a rental spot and we unloaded what stuff that was worth taking. My nephew is a great kid I love him to death , now Im kinda scared for him. Not physicaly Fred would not do anything to harm any one , what Im worried about is life with or with out dad. Well Im a good brother (my sister told me that today) , Im trying also to be a good Uncle to my nephew. I will also try to be a good friend to Fred once he gets his shit in order. Its funny how many rolls you fill in your life. Most you know about some you don't even realize that you are somthing to some one else. -- Peace.

Ride em cowgirl.....

Now I've read the comics for Sin City. I have always loved Frank Millars work in every thing he has dome. From Daredevil to Ronin to the Dark knight returns. His style has always been awesome. Actually Robocop 2 was his too. Im not sure how well this movie will translate to the screen but Im crossing my fingers. As for Jessica Alba meow wow.... She also in another comic book movie this year the Fantastic four. It looks like there should be some fun movies coming out this year for spring/ summer. Im a geek for these things. Maybe its the popcorn and candy maybe its the magic of the big screen. I don't quite know. Even the $3.00 show at the second run movie house has been fun for me. I think the best movie memory for me is watching Star Wars for the first time with my friend Ron. My god I think I was all of 7 or 8 ?? The other moment comes to mind is the drive in. I remember my dad having a beer and watching some disaster flick at a drive in in the suburbs that no longer exists. What your fav movie moment?? -- night all
