Working out...

I went out today and bought some used 25# iron plates that I needed for my weight set. I went down in to my basement and started to lift weightsin the early evening . My four year old came down and wanted to play. Well, that not what I need while throwing aroung alot of iron. I did let him sit away from me on the washing maching and count Daddys reps as I was lifting. Later I realized that I did but him a 1# dumbell - Its rubber covered so shouldnt hurt anything unless he throws it. I had him following my shoulder press. and curls. It kept a smile on me during the work out and actually helped me lift more. I guess I did not want to look bad in front of my boy. Afterword I scooped him up in my arms and we had supper. It was a good day with the boys. I wish that my work schedual allowed me more time inthe evening to see them. I get home between 830 and 1030 pm so they are in bed by the time i get there. But today was a treat. Some day those two are going to out lift their old man. just not today...

Maybe its the weather....

I know I have SAD. Its not a major case but Iknow I am effected my the dark. Its the lack of day light that effects my mood. This time of your it can get pretty bad for me. It does not help that I work primarily an evening shift at work. I start at 10:30/11am and work til 9/10 pm. So I only see the Sun for a few hours each day. Usually less than other people. I used to use full spectrum light bulbs , just havent ran out and bought em this year. I've been working out like crazy latley lifting and running to help elevate my "good" hormones. It seems to help a little. The bad part is that I do this after everybody is sleeping say 10-11pm so now Im wired and up till 1 pm. No big deal I guess. Soon the Sun will rise earlier and set later. Maybe its the weather...... http://abclocal.go.com/kabc/health/kabc_012405_hs_depressing.html

Queensryche

I went to the House of blues last night to see Queensryche. I had a ball. The crowd was what I expeced - late 20's to mid 30's old heavy metal heads. God I loved metal back in the day. My first concert was Iron Maiden in 1982 for the number of the beast tour. But last night was quite fun. Great sound. They did the whole OPERATION MINDCRIME cd. It was/is a comcept album that its very scary to do today in the Era of Bush 2.0 and his Homeland security. The album is one where the homeless are brainwahed and given drugs. They are used to kiss political and religious figures across the nation. -- The stage show had actors a story line on huge screen wheel chairs. Im all it was a great time except that I paid $8 for a pack of smokes... man I was raped. I only smoke when I drink or in celebration when I sell a car (kind post coital). So with a show going on and beers in hand I needed one. but $8 thats such a rip... and yet like an ass I paid. --- Whats your first concert? Just asking for fun.....
