13th month

In auto sales the last week in December is somtimes called the 13th month. This week for us has the most sales per consecutive day in the year. Every day is like a friday (good traffic and busy). Each day this week I will probally put in 12 hours. In one week I can and have made what I make in one month. Long but well worth it this week. I kinda hate these long dark hours of the year, sun down at 445. It is what it is - the dark.

If I do not get a chance to talk to any of you ---- have a great new year - I hope that 2005 goes better than 2004. -- raise a glass of the bubbly for me and ring it in. --- Peace.

Christmas Visit

Well Santa is not here yet. And I wanted to throw out some Christmas traditions that we do in my family. When I was a Child my mother and the family would make Tamales - Pork in red sauce , made by the hundreds to give to friends and to trade with others. There was a family that would make sweet ones, delicious. They had nuts and rasins in them. We would trade a dozen or so w/ them. In Guatamala the wrap theirs w/ Bananna leaves also very tasty.
We were allowed to open one gift on Christmas eve and would wait for the rest. When I was in Mexico the Three kings would visit on Jan 7 th I think -- I was youg when they did this. SO I don't really remember it too clearly. In the northern parts of Mexico (where my Family is From) Its Santo Claus.
I spoke w/ Dana and she told me that Santa also does Visit her as well in Germany. Then I was told of the Krumpas that travels w/ Santa. A horned, furry chained demon that travels w/ santa to beat bad kids w/ reeds if they miss behave . I thought that beats the hell out of a lump of coal. Krampus . They Featured the Krampus in The cartoon the Venture bros. I laughed my ass off. - Well Good night. I have to get back to putting together toys and eating Santas cookies..... Beware the Krampus and be good. Unless you want a beating with reeds?

Yup Im getting a dog. Went to the shelter today and saw a wonderful Jack Russel Terrier. The right size , about 4 years old and cute as a button. He has heart worms , but the vet at the shelter is treating him. He is a stray and was owned by other people. He was fixed so that much we know. His current name is Cooper, but I am looking in to other names. Hes not a Winston , maybe Nixon, Vegas? Memphis? Cuthulhu (lou for short)? Pilsner? My 4 Yr old son wants to name hin Saliva -- Where does he get this from?? Like father...... Any ways I'll pick him up tomorrow and post pics asap. --- Peace.

Beer bitches

Ok so I meet a few friends at one of my favorite brew pubs Goose Island. My three freinds who join me are beer geeks as well. It was like pulling teeth to decide on what brew pub we were going to, what beers do they have? whats on hand pull? etc. Beer bitches. However it has been awhile since Ive eaten at the goose. They have mini sandwiches, so I had a mini cheese burger, mini pulled pork and a mini buffalo chix sandwich. Delicious that with several Schwarzen Beer (think black with out being heavy line a Xingu from Brazil). I love my beer geek freinds , but somtimes they are beer bitches.....

Good day sad day

Went to get a tattoo today. That fell through. I misunderstood the guy at the studio. I was told that I didnt need an appt. Well that was true , but for piercings not for tattoos. Bummer. It was cool I like his style and art and photos. I also did have a chance to go dog shopping at the local shelter. We saw some that were nice. Pointer and somthing else. I also did see a 2 yr old doberman. Very nice and well behaved. I need names for a female dog and some for a male dog. Will you help? Kinda kicking the name around of (for a girl) Merlot, Hilton, Liberty. For a boy pooch Nixon, Winston. Thats a bout it so far. ....... I'll keep ya posted.

I hate the xmas season

Arrrg since when did people become so self important? I go do some shopping with the family. The lines ,the crowds the open packages all over, too many people. We finish and start for the car. I almost get hit by a car in the parking lot while I have my one yr old on my shoulders. Some lady asshole rushing to get a parking spot that I am walking past at the same time. I stop and stare at her not saying a word. She sees me and does not get out of her car while I am standing there. --- I was hoping that she would have called the police. I would have loved it. Either way it was cold and windy out so I had to go. DOnt get me wrong I love christmas , the gifts for the kids, giving the lights and baby Jesus. But the shopping and comercialism I can do with out.

Throbbing

Arrg I get migraines headaches. Every 5-6 mos they creep up on me and there nothing I can do. If I can I take immetrix , but if im too late it hits me like a hammer. Letters turn backward and I get tunnel vision. If Im lucky and dose with the perscription and get 6 hrs of sleep it will stop and I will just wind up with a headache that lasts 2-3 days. Hurts when I cough , sneeze or bend over. My father said hes never had a headache and when I was young accused me of faking it. Yea thats nice. The worse one that I had - I had a drean I was having a migrane I wokr up at 6 am having one. It followed me in my sleep. Not even my abdominal surgury followed me there. - well thats a different story.

How did I become a pillar or the community? I went to work out Tuesday at the clubhouse for my subdivision. They were having their second meeting of the Neighborhood watch program. Most of what I heard was just stuff about litter and who painted what house what color. Being kinda in an ass mood I piped up and asked waht about traffic and crime. Isn't that why we are here? Every thing else is Home owners assn stuff. The Guest policeman agreeded with me. I offered some ideas that it should be run like a business and a mission statement be made and a campaing be made to bring in people. A showing of 25 people from 922 houses is kinda sad. --- So since then I have made a blog for the watch and I now control the email. I have become the recruitment go to guy. I laughed w/ a friend and told her that this is my start to my suburban militia.

Drunken weirdness and such

Saturday . work was no big deal actually fairly decent day. After work came home ordered pizza and shrimp with the family. Nice time just chilling after along day. I went out for a beer to celebrate a co workers birthday. I get there and every one blew this guy off. I dont really know him that well , but I bought a few beers and we got to talking. Now during all this there is this cute latina girl standing next to this table and dancing for her Boyfriend/husband? SHe comes over to us and just smiles and stares. I offer up a smoke. She take s it and askes us to be nice. She says somthing else in english and spanish about having a bad day. I try to follow along. I keep a watch on her boyfriend expecting him to jump at me. Then she takes me by my arm walks me over to her table askes for me to be nice and sit me down next to BF. (ok whats up). I shake his hand. Then she comes over kisses me on the cheek and neck and laughs. (was this a bet or just bar weirdness???) During the whole time im expecting a fight. I excues my self - He appologizezs for her and I walk away. Tony (the other guy ) watches the whole show. I finish my beer and take off. -- Im a magnet for the weird....... OK - not a bad day at work . Sold a car , bought a car for the company and then bought a car for my self. The asshole that did not buy the car from me yesterday passed up a delicious car. Great miles , awsome price. Now its mine. An Avalon. I love it wife enjoys it and my son called the seats fluffy. That made me laugh. Last night he freaked me out as I was leaving my hobbit hole he was looking out of the back door looking for Momma. I held him and told him that momma was sleeping. He passed out in my arms. Lil guy must have been sleep walking or close to it. I put him in bed and not another word was said.

sucky ending

Had a decent day off today. Slept late , worked out , re fi on the house (finally) and then Chinese food w/ the wife and my first born. Played w/ him all day. My wife went and had a massage done that I bought for earlier this month. Now at about 5 pm I get a call form a co worker the a client is comming in to buy a car we had transfered in for him. I go in on my day off. at 730 pm . The guy comes in w/ an attidude drives the car and tells me he has to pick up his kids in 20 min. So he knew he was not going to buy the car anyways before he showed. What the fuck. Why do I even bother. Its done and over with. I had a some and some sweet potato pie. All is good with the world now. - Im still pissed at the company for skipping me n rotation for sales manager this time around. Other managers are pissed about the lack of comunication there as well. Arrrg - may be buying new car - dream boat - just started the prelim work . I'll tell ya later if it happens. - laters PEACE

My memory was scrubbed today. It was for a good reason. A friend read my words , once. Now they are all gone except in random firing of neurons.
Besides that it was a good day in general. Kick ass day really. My son built his 1st snowman today that was way cool .
I did a bad thing *again* I help to tempt a friend, He was bored and driving so I texted him a phone number of a certain girl that he has a lost crush on. Inside of five minutes he called her and called me back. The he texted me calling me a bastard because she called him back. All I did was supply a phone number.
