13th month

In auto sales the last week in December is somtimes called the 13th month. This week for us has the most sales per consecutive day in the year. Every day is like a friday (good traffic and busy). Each day this week I will probally put in 12 hours. In one week I can and have made what I make in one month. Long but well worth it this week. I kinda hate these long dark hours of the year, sun down at 445. It is what it is - the dark.

If I do not get a chance to talk to any of you ---- have a great new year - I hope that 2005 goes better than 2004. -- raise a glass of the bubbly for me and ring it in. --- Peace.

Christmas Visit

Well Santa is not here yet. And I wanted to throw out some Christmas traditions that we do in my family. When I was a Child my mother and the family would make Tamales - Pork in red sauce , made by the hundreds to give to friends and to trade with others. There was a family that would make sweet ones, delicious. They had nuts and rasins in them. We would trade a dozen or so w/ them. In Guatamala the wrap theirs w/ Bananna leaves also very tasty.
We were allowed to open one gift on Christmas eve and would wait for the rest. When I was in Mexico the Three kings would visit on Jan 7 th I think -- I was youg when they did this. SO I don't really remember it too clearly. In the northern parts of Mexico (where my Family is From) Its Santo Claus.
I spoke w/ Dana and she told me that Santa also does Visit her as well in Germany. Then I was told of the Krumpas that travels w/ Santa. A horned, furry chained demon that travels w/ santa to beat bad kids w/ reeds if they miss behave . I thought that beats the hell out of a lump of coal. Krampus . They Featured the Krampus in The cartoon the Venture bros. I laughed my ass off. - Well Good night. I have to get back to putting together toys and eating Santas cookies..... Beware the Krampus and be good. Unless you want a beating with reeds?

Yup Im getting a dog. Went to the shelter today and saw a wonderful Jack Russel Terrier. The right size , about 4 years old and cute as a button. He has heart worms , but the vet at the shelter is treating him. He is a stray and was owned by other people. He was fixed so that much we know. His current name is Cooper, but I am looking in to other names. Hes not a Winston , maybe Nixon, Vegas? Memphis? Cuthulhu (lou for short)? Pilsner? My 4 Yr old son wants to name hin Saliva -- Where does he get this from?? Like father...... Any ways I'll pick him up tomorrow and post pics asap. --- Peace.

Beer bitches

Ok so I meet a few friends at one of my favorite brew pubs Goose Island. My three freinds who join me are beer geeks as well. It was like pulling teeth to decide on what brew pub we were going to, what beers do they have? whats on hand pull? etc. Beer bitches. However it has been awhile since Ive eaten at the goose. They have mini sandwiches, so I had a mini cheese burger, mini pulled pork and a mini buffalo chix sandwich. Delicious that with several Schwarzen Beer (think black with out being heavy line a Xingu from Brazil). I love my beer geek freinds , but somtimes they are beer bitches.....

Good day sad day

Went to get a tattoo today. That fell through. I misunderstood the guy at the studio. I was told that I didnt need an appt. Well that was true , but for piercings not for tattoos. Bummer. It was cool I like his style and art and photos. I also did have a chance to go dog shopping at the local shelter. We saw some that were nice. Pointer and somthing else. I also did see a 2 yr old doberman. Very nice and well behaved. I need names for a female dog and some for a male dog. Will you help? Kinda kicking the name around of (for a girl) Merlot, Hilton, Liberty. For a boy pooch Nixon, Winston. Thats a bout it so far. ....... I'll keep ya posted.

I hate the xmas season

Arrrg since when did people become so self important? I go do some shopping with the family. The lines ,the crowds the open packages all over, too many people. We finish and start for the car. I almost get hit by a car in the parking lot while I have my one yr old on my shoulders. Some lady asshole rushing to get a parking spot that I am walking past at the same time. I stop and stare at her not saying a word. She sees me and does not get out of her car while I am standing there. --- I was hoping that she would have called the police. I would have loved it. Either way it was cold and windy out so I had to go. DOnt get me wrong I love christmas , the gifts for the kids, giving the lights and baby Jesus. But the shopping and comercialism I can do with out.

Throbbing

Arrg I get migraines headaches. Every 5-6 mos they creep up on me and there nothing I can do. If I can I take immetrix , but if im too late it hits me like a hammer. Letters turn backward and I get tunnel vision. If Im lucky and dose with the perscription and get 6 hrs of sleep it will stop and I will just wind up with a headache that lasts 2-3 days. Hurts when I cough , sneeze or bend over. My father said hes never had a headache and when I was young accused me of faking it. Yea thats nice. The worse one that I had - I had a drean I was having a migrane I wokr up at 6 am having one. It followed me in my sleep. Not even my abdominal surgury followed me there. - well thats a different story.

How did I become a pillar or the community? I went to work out Tuesday at the clubhouse for my subdivision. They were having their second meeting of the Neighborhood watch program. Most of what I heard was just stuff about litter and who painted what house what color. Being kinda in an ass mood I piped up and asked waht about traffic and crime. Isn't that why we are here? Every thing else is Home owners assn stuff. The Guest policeman agreeded with me. I offered some ideas that it should be run like a business and a mission statement be made and a campaing be made to bring in people. A showing of 25 people from 922 houses is kinda sad. --- So since then I have made a blog for the watch and I now control the email. I have become the recruitment go to guy. I laughed w/ a friend and told her that this is my start to my suburban militia.

Drunken weirdness and such

Saturday . work was no big deal actually fairly decent day. After work came home ordered pizza and shrimp with the family. Nice time just chilling after along day. I went out for a beer to celebrate a co workers birthday. I get there and every one blew this guy off. I dont really know him that well , but I bought a few beers and we got to talking. Now during all this there is this cute latina girl standing next to this table and dancing for her Boyfriend/husband? SHe comes over to us and just smiles and stares. I offer up a smoke. She take s it and askes us to be nice. She says somthing else in english and spanish about having a bad day. I try to follow along. I keep a watch on her boyfriend expecting him to jump at me. Then she takes me by my arm walks me over to her table askes for me to be nice and sit me down next to BF. (ok whats up). I shake his hand. Then she comes over kisses me on the cheek and neck and laughs. (was this a bet or just bar weirdness???) During the whole time im expecting a fight. I excues my self - He appologizezs for her and I walk away. Tony (the other guy ) watches the whole show. I finish my beer and take off. -- Im a magnet for the weird....... I kinda like it though....... Make my life interesting and gives me stories to tell. --- Night all .

OK - not a bad day at work . Sold a car , bought a car for the company and then bought a car for my self. The asshole that did not buy the car from me yesterday passed up a delicious car. Great miles , awsome price. Now its mine. An Avalon. I love it wife enjoys it and my son called the seats fluffy. That made me laugh. Last night he freaked me out as I was leaving my hobbit hole he was looking out of the back door looking for Momma. I held him and told him that momma was sleeping. He passed out in my arms. Lil guy must have been sleep walking or close to it. I put him in bed and not another word was said.

sucky ending

Had a decent day off today. Slept late , worked out , re fi on the house (finally) and then Chinese food w/ the wife and my first born. Played w/ him all day. My wife went and had a massage done that I bought for earlier this month. Now at about 5 pm I get a call form a co worker the a client is comming in to buy a car we had transfered in for him. I go in on my day off. at 730 pm . The guy comes in w/ an attidude drives the car and tells me he has to pick up his kids in 20 min. So he knew he was not going to buy the car anyways before he showed. What the fuck. Why do I even bother. Its done and over with. I had a some and some sweet potato pie. All is good with the world now. - Im still pissed at the company for skipping me n rotation for sales manager this time around. Other managers are pissed about the lack of comunication there as well. Arrrg - may be buying new car - dream boat - just started the prelim work . I'll tell ya later if it happens. - laters PEACE

My memory was scrubbed today. It was for a good reason. A friend read my words , once. Now they are all gone except in random firing of neurons.
Besides that it was a good day in general. Kick ass day really. My son built his 1st snowman today that was way cool .
I did a bad thing *again* I help to tempt a friend, He was bored and driving so I texted him a phone number of a certain girl that he has a lost crush on. Inside of five minutes he called her and called me back. The he texted me calling me a bastard because she called him back. All I did was supply a phone number. "try that apple Eve, I hear its delicious...." .

OK I bust my ass for the company. I put in 10-12 hours per day an easy 100-110 hours per check and go above and beyond. Today I was pulled from a training trip that I was supposed to go on. Arrrg last minute Bull shit corperate bullshit. "We still look forward having you down here soon....." . What ever. Let me go back and focus on selling cars , let me do what I do best (right now ) . The guys on the floor actually more concerned than I was ... I train management how to sell cars when they cycle through the program . They sell 30 cars and get sent up. Ive sold close to 300+ and mentor -- arrrg . When do they ask me again ... and do I wait for it?

turkey day blues.

OK woke up this mornig at 530 am got showered and started the drive south to visit the inlaws, wife and kids. They had left earlier in the week. I get there at about 9 am or so and I can see the my wife already has the look of panic in her eyes. My mom in law is 75 or so and still lives her life as it was 1956 or there abouts. She lives in the house she grew up in as a child. So I have to rescue my wife from teh house and go shopping for things we dont need , but just to get out of the house. There is very little compromise in her house. and in general Im usually the bad guy when I go there. ---- I like to play w/ my boys . We case each other around the house as bad guy /hero. At time I play zombie w/ my boys and I chase the as one of the living dead. My mom in law starts to bitch to my wife "ive ner hear of any one playing zombie... blah blah blah..." Again we have to go buy lottery tix to get out of the house. That was at one. We ate at 2 pm sharp. Then just as quickly put every thing away. I helped my pop in law do some yard work and then took a long nap. Left the whole scene behind me. The wife - kids are comming home tomorrow. Arrrg - some days I wish my wife would just stand up to her (mom in law). I know that she does not like me and I tollerate her . but Im used to people not likeing me... WHatever its over and I have left overs....

Fri night lights

Well the wake was ok. I saw some people that I had not seen in 16 years. I was ok until I got to the casket. The a sense of mortality hit me like a ton of bricks. The last time I has seen Sandy (my friends mom) was 16 years ago. Not she was in the box. The make up thick. Hands resting in almost unatural positions. --- I felt so bad for the family. We hugged and smoked outside. Then I had to pick up my friend to take hime home. I was tired and in a weird mental funk from the wake. Picked up some smokes and a diet coke for myself. When we got to his place we went to a Mexican joint with his cousin. Good food many laughs. I can almost always count on them to make me feel better or at least I can make myself feel better by throwing shit their way. As a trade mark ass hole move I would often roll down the passenger window and yell "NIce ass " to attractive women in hope that they would look at the passenger and flick him off. My own friend did this to his then wife ... long story. So last night I was pulling up to the girls in the street . I rolled down the window. Mike in the back seat starts yelling Crane crane do it do it yea ... Tom in the from is srticken with terror and basicly feigns death in the from seat. Flops down next to me as to avoid being seen. I almost pissed myself . I was laughing so hard I could not yell. We drove off all laughing so hard . Ha . Ilovethose guys. Goons every one of them.

Death and taxes

Spent the day making calls to see who would make my friends mothers wake. I had to tell what happedned even though I heard it second hand myself. Kinda weird. spent the rest of the day re fi on the house. Just a long day of doing what is necessary for the house. Then finially lifted at 8 pm so now im sore , hands shaking but feel really f'n good. Tomorrows should be a decent day f all my appointments came through. But thats tomorrow.

confusing day

I had a wonderful day today - lets just say at work everything lined up for some great things to come. I was asked to go to another state to train for 2 weeks. To day I also learned that a dear friends mother had passed on. She was ill from cancer and it all finally turned. I will go to the wake on friday. Its hard to thing that this is probally the start when I will do this for more of my friends parents to come. My own Uncle passed about 5 years ago that was hard on me , he was in essence my dad. Taught me good from evil. (I knew what side of the force I was on from the start!!) He always let me make my own choices in life. I miss him. Sometimes I pull his urn down and just talk with him. Well thats about that.

I have a great freakin day today. Slept in late actually the whole house did today. Must have needed it from my newphews party yesterday. Good shower and shave. I was not sore for once on a monday ( did new shoulder excersize). Went to work. I gues I bought 2 cars after I left on Sat night so it was extra money I did not know I had. Bought one right off the bat. Had a customer walk in and buy a car and then a second both with warrentees -- Boom shak a lak a . All before 4pm. I took a long lunch. Came back and answered 2 phone messages - they want cars on fri. Bought a second car and then left early. Good day. Made tandori chicken and rice. It does not take too much to keep me happy.

Evil, me?

Now I have had this conversation about being evil with my friends latey. There are very different forms of evil in the universe. From Adolf Hitler and Stalan to the evil in a smile. Now I know I have a dark side. When I drink I can be a real evil son of a bitch. But I think the real "evil " that lays inside me is the evil of tempation. I often joke that women have only have been with me freely and of there own will. -- A side quote from most vampire movies/books. I have never forced anyone to do anything that they did not want to do. Did I push without pushing. Perhaps. I just was reminded that I asked my friend's Aunt a Jade that I suggested a tatoo to her to get and she got it. - I dont remember that. I know that I often am portrayed as the bad boy. Not I - I just show to people (women) what fun they can have with me. Was the snake truly evil or did he offer choices? That all I ever do I lay out all the options for the evening-- DO you want to do work or have a beer with me. I know I do have a devils smile and have used it , but its like having legs and running its part of you. The brighest light casts the darkest shadow. - *devil smile*

dead again

Had a crazy dream last night. May I was just too tired from the night before. In my deam I was dead and walking around. Not a zombie nor a ghost , but dead. I could see some of my friends weeping and talking to each other. They would not talk to mo or look at me. I was at the funeral home I could see a casket but could not look in to it. -- Weird. My family was not there - I never dream about my family. --

Well at least its a happy monkey for Monday...
