Discipline of steel

I used to read Henry Rollins backin the day. His coffee fueled poems and rants I quite enjoyed. He wrote once of the Discipline of Steel. He was writing about weight lifting. When done right using dumbells and bars you have to move in a certain way. Respect the steel. The motion must be done correctly. Not rushed. Done perfectly. If any of these rules are broken you will suffer quickly and harshly. Not from the others , but by the Steel its self. An inanimate object and hurt you or help you. A cold lump od black steel. - Tonight I worked out in my basement. It felt good. Just me and the dumbells. - somthing very old school about it.. Rollins just hit Fourty. Still tattooed still a hard body. Drug free. I hope Im that lucky.

If you get a chance read his stuff. Very enjoyable.
